Algorithms and Validation

NOAA CoastWatch is a partner with other NOAA offices in the development and implementation of regional algorithms. Regional algorithms are optimized for specific regions (i.e., West Florida Shelf, Bering Strait, Gulf of Maine) to best address NOAA missions. Image products are processed by using the corresponding algorithm from the table below unless otherwise indicated on the image's title stamp or metadata.
