Geographic Coverage

NOAA CoastWatch MODIS Level-3 data products are subscened and mapped to the following CoastWatch Regions:

Projection parameters for the GeoTIFFs are Mercator or Sinusoidal with a spheroid/datum using WGS84. Level-2 data in the CW-HDF format remains in the satellite projection and can be projected using the CoastWatch Utilities.
