Data Access

Data provided by the Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution (OSDPD) are processed and made available through this website. NOAA CoastWatch Central Operations provides sea surface winds products derived from the Department of Defense's Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP). Sea surface winds products from DMSP for the coastal United States are updated 6 times per day (every 4 hours) and are available in near real-time. No Registration is required to view this data.
