Changes are being made to our polar ice products.  We are adding metadata to make the products more interoperable across services and software.  Some of these changes include adding axes and long_name attributes for better compatibility with online services. 

Additionally,  the mapping will change in the near future.  The changes are to the standard meridian and the latitude of true scale for both North Polar (NP) and South Polar (SP) products in polar stereographic.  NP new vertical meridian is 45W.  SP new vertical meridian is 0. In addition,  metadata has been added to increase compatibility with software and services.
