Biography |
Heather Roman-Stork is a satellite oceanographer with the Lab for Satellite Altimetry and CoastWatch. She is a member of the Sea Surface Height Team, the CoastWatch Applications Team, and the Water Quality Working Group. Her main focus is on developing a multiparameter mesoscale eddy tracking product along with a Multiparameter Eddy Significance Index (MESI) that will support CoastWatch. She received her MS in meteorology from the Florida State University and her PhD in marine science with a concentration in physical oceanography from the University of South Carolina. Her research experience includes intraseasonal and climatic variability in the tropical Indian Ocean, air-sea interactions, mesoscale eddies, and ocean currents. |
