Biography |
Paul DiGiacomo is the Division Chief of the Satellite Oceanography and Climatology Division (SOCD) that houses CoastWatch in NESDIS/STAR. Dr. DiGiacomo also serves as a CoastWatch Applications Team Lead. Paul earned his PhD in Biology at UCLA, his BS in Biology at Penn State, and held a postdoctoral fellowship at NASA JPL through the National Research Council. He holds a faculty position at the UMass Boston School for the Environment. Paul also previously served as Program Manager for CoastWatch, succeeded by Dr. Lance. Dr. DiGiacomo’s areas of expertise include water quality research and application development, coastal marine ecosystem dynamics, and multi-sensor remote sensing of ocean, coastal and inland waters. |
